The EU could “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it deems “unwarranted” visa bans issued by the United States against five European individuals working on combating digital hatred and misinformation, an EU official has said.

EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as the French president accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans targeted figures who have been at the heart of efforts to introduce legislation regulating US-based technology firms.
