The renowned publisher has welcomed Ben Brinkman from the creators of Apex Legends to oversee the development team at 31st Union, which is currently working on the forthcoming over-the-shoulder roguelike extraction-shooter known as this innovative game.
The new appointee assumes the role of studio head at the development studio following the dismissal of former leader Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' lackluster initial reveal last autumn.
Recently, 2K president a key figure notified team members about this decision through an internal memo, which stressed that playtesting had revealed the necessity for a distinct game identity.
Ismailer stated that the team is now refining Project Ethos with a revised vision, aiming to better meet player expectations.
The news follows a comparable move taken by the publisher in the summer, when they hired Rod Fergusson from the Diablo team to assist with the BioShock development group.
